Our Mission

The club first opened its doors in the summer of 1997.

Our mission is to promote the sport of table tennis both as a life-long recreational activity, and as a high-level skill sport.  We offer training at no additional cost to entry level players.

While we encourage players to become members of the USATT organization, we recognize that simply playing for the fun of the game is the goal of many players who may not be interested in the competitive aspects of the sport.  As long as you enjoy the game, you are welcome to join us.

Club Membership

The Three Rivers Table Tennis Center is a sanctioned club of
USA Table Tennis (www.usatt.org), the governing body of the sport in the U.S.

Our club members range in age from 10 to 83.
The skill level of our players range from raw beginners on up.

All players are welcome.  USATT membership is not necessary.
The club has no formal membership requirements.  If you show up once, you are welcome to play.  If you show up twice, you're a member.

The Playing Facility

The club plays in the gymnasium of:
        Messiah Lutheran Church
          See Map
        7211 Stellhorn Road  (US 37)
        Fort Wayne, IN  46835

Messiah Lutheran church is located at the intersection of Stellhorn Road and Lahmeyer Road, across from the old Anchor Room Book Store.
Enter the gymnasium using the entrance on the South (Stellhorn Road) side of the building.

The church generously provides the facility and equipment storage space at no cost, permitting us to operate the club on voluntary contributions alone.

Equipment Used

All equipment is first class, professional quality.

We have 6 Butterfly Centrefold Rollaway tables, and 2 Joola 3000 SC tables.
We use 40+ Nittaku Premium balls
An Amicus 3000 practice robot is available for warm-up and training.

Balls are provided, and loaner paddles are available for players who do not bring their own

Playing Times and Fees

We play Tuesday evenings from 6-9pm.
On the first Tuesday of each month we hold an informal club tournament for players of all levels.
Informal training for entry level players is provided at no charge.
Exceptions to these playing times periodically occur when the church schedules their gym for other events, so please call or check this web site before you come for the first time.

Our club has an open-play policy.  We strive to see that every player has the opportunity to compete with the higher level players if they wish.  Once a month, we hold an informal club tournament giving players the opportunity to compete in a tournament format.

We are not a profit making organization.  Voluntary donations are accepted to cover the costs of operating the club.
     Suggested donation:  Students - $1,  Adults - $3.
